Holds & Bookings
Manage your talent pipeline efficiently. Bookr replaces email threads with a structured hold system.
Placing a Hold
- Select Dates: From a freelancer's calendar or the search results, select the days you need.
- Click "Place Hold": This sends an instant request to the freelancer.
- Hold Rank:
- 1st Hold: You have priority. If the freelancer accepts, you can book immediately.
- 2nd Hold: You are next in line. If the 1st hold releases the dates, you are automatically promoted to 1st hold.
Managing Holds (/holds)
The Holds dashboard gives you a clear view of your pipeline.
- Active Holds: See all freelancers you currently have on hold.
- Status: Check if a freelancer has Accepted, Declined, or Countered your request.
- Book: When you are ready to commit, click Book to confirm the talent. This creates a binding booking.
- Release: If your project dates change or you choose another artist, click Release to free up the freelancer's calendar.
Challenges
If you are on a 2nd Hold and are ready to book immediately, you can issue a Challenge.
- How it works: You "challenge" the client on 1st hold.
- The Clock: The 1st hold client has 24 hours (or the freelancer's set window) to either Book or Release the dates.
- Outcome:
- If they Book: You lose the hold.
- If they Release (or time runs out): You are promoted to 1st hold and can book immediately.
