Projects
Organize bookings and budget on the Projects page (/projects).
Overview
Group bookings by campaign or job for better organization.
Creating Projects
- Go to Projects tab
- Click "New Project"
- Enter details:
- Name - Project or campaign name
- Client/Brand - End client name (optional)
- Date Range - Project timeline (optional)
- Budget - Estimated budget (optional)
Assigning Bookings
When placing holds:
- Select project from dropdown
- Create new project on the fly
- Leave unassigned for later
For existing bookings:
- Open booking details
- Select project
- Save changes
Project View
Click any project to see:
- Timeline - Visual schedule
- Bookings - All assigned bookings
- Talent - List of freelancers
- Budget - Total estimated vs actual
- Status - Active, upcoming, or completed
Team Collaboration
Organization Projects:
- Shared across team
- All members can view
- Admins can edit
- See who booked which freelancer
Visibility:
- Team members see all org projects
- External: Freelancers only see their bookings
Budget Tracking
Projects automatically track:
- Estimated Spend - Based on day rates
- Actual Spend - Confirmed bookings
- Remaining Budget - If you set budget
- Invoice Status - Paid vs pending
Project Timeline
Visual timeline shows:
- Booking periods
- Overlapping bookings
- Gaps in coverage
- Talent availability
Filtering & Sorting
Filter by:
- Status (active, completed, upcoming)
- Date range
- Team member (who created)
- Budget range
Sort by:
- Date
- Name
- Budget
- Number of bookings
Export Data
Download project data:
- Booking summary
- Budget report
- Timeline export
- Invoice summary
Tips
- Create projects early - Organize from the start
- Set realistic budgets - Track spending
- Use clear names - Easy to find later
- Assign immediately - Don't let bookings pile up unassigned
- Review monthly - Track project performance
- Archive completed - Keep active list clean
